This was Jet's Last year as head Coach & Jackie's Last as treasurer,
all former rawc wrestlers are welcome to give jet a big send off into

"NAWA CHAMPIONSHIPS" Saturday May 5th

NAWA Championships Fees: $13.00 (1st style), $7.00 (2nd style) Spectator Fee: $2.00 Championships There is a one-time $2.00 fee for a NAWA weigh-in card if your have not purchased at local tournament. In order to offer better balanced competition, wrestlers will be pooled when there are fewer than four in a weight class. USWA guidelines will be used when pooling is necessary. Certified officials will be paid a percentage of the entry fees. Weight-Ins start at gym at 7:00 AM.

We need all of you at Shasta High Friday Night at 5:30 pm or 6:00 pm at Foothill for Mat Moving & Setup Saturday at tournament completion.. all RAWC wrestlers for clean up and move mat's back to Foothill; Pizza Saturday night for mat movers and shakers.

Western Regional - Battleground Champion "Matt Smull"
Last weekend when most of the team went to Red Bluff,
Several wrestlers (Matt, Kirk, & PJ) went to the Regional
tournament in Battleground Washington. The club has only had a hand
full of placers at that large tournament with now only three Champions
Kyle Clag, Ricky Nagy, & now Matt Smull. Matt had a great weekend with
a First & Second place showing (Freestyle / Greco). Big thanks to Coach
Chris & Jet for taking the three days off to do the road trip for the kids.

Late Sign-ups
Yes, we're RAWC'ing and rolling and our season is now underway. To sign up now, simply show up at one of our Tuesday or Thursday night practices and look for the nice woman with the signup sheets. The cost for wrestling this year is $80, and includes a USA Wrestling card (insurance)(Bring a copy of birth certificate), club fees, and $25 dollars of raffle tickets. When you sell the raffle tickets, you keep the money. If you sell them all, your cost for wrestling is $55. That's a superb bargain when compared to other organized sports programs. You can also keep all the tickets if you're feeling lucky.
Our practice nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Wrestlers between the ages of 5 and 12 start at 6pm, and the older kids start at 7pm. Both age groups will practice for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. We practice in the Shasta High School wrestling room behind the main gym.

The 8th Annual OrCA dual is tomorrow March 10th; Wrestling starts at 2 PM with Oregon vs Washington 4 PM with Washington vs California 6 PM with Oregon vs California This is the highest placing senior from each state which could attend, excellent wrestlers from all over the West Coast; last years defending Champions is "Team Washington". Donald Espinoza
Dear Family and Friends, Donald, most loved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on August 3rd at Mercy Hospital in Redding, CA after an eight-year battle against lymphoma. He never quit fighting it! Donald fought valiantly in Washington at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance while undergoing two stem cell transplants from March to mid-July.
